Tell Me a Story
Hey, Hey, everyone! I’m Jantz Levin and I am an actor/singer from Richland, Washington. Growing up, I practically lived at my local community theatre. When my Mom enrolled me in the after school Charlie Brown theatre classes, I was still learning how to read, so my teacher had to feed all my lines from the script to me from off stage. I didn’t care! I loved it! I found my passion! As I grew older I found that my curious, energetic and adventurous outlook on life developed another passion. My love for geography which morphed into a calling to travel. My goal is to get to all 50 states by the time I’m 25. Proud to report I have been to 64% of the United States. But I didn’t get to that point by staying in Washington. I moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to study Musical Theatre at Point Park University! Going to school on the east coast in what felt like a foreign land, I immersed myself in the arts and the sports that make the Steel City so great. Doing so I developed another passion: seeking discomfort! Sounds crazy, I know! But seeking discomfort makes you connect so much more with the world and the people around you. In Pittsburgh, I would take to the streets and ask people for my Youtube Channel “What is a story from your life you wish you could tell more often?” Talking to strangers lit my soul on fire! It made me want to talk to strangers not only in Pittsburgh, but everywhere I go! So I studied abroad in my junior year of college at University of West London in London, England! Some of the best memories of my life came from studying abroad such as going to the Queen’s funeral in Hyde Park, taking the double decker bus to uni every morning and couch surfing in France and Wales. I felt I lived so many different lives! Living different lives helped inform my acting when I returned to Point Park helping me land roles ranging from Ricky in Ride the Cyclone to Man 1 in Closer than Ever. I realized if I wanted to be the best actor I could be I had to live as many lives as possible! So I sold pest control door to door for a summer in New England and learned to be a salesman. I decided to skydive at 19,000 feet in Connecticut and surf with dolphins in California. All my adventures have informed who I am and will continue to inform who I become! Through my adventures I have learned one thing: storytelling is incredibly needed. Whether it be a big movie, a small community theatre production or even talking with friends around a campfire stories hold with them great impact. So when you get the chance to tell one, dig deep and give it all you got!
